Do you have items that have fond memories but no longer serve a purpose in your life as it is now? If it is difficult to part with something consider taking a photograph of the item. You have your memory but the item no longer takes up space. This may not work for every item such as a family heirloom but it works in some cases. This is my prom dress, circa 1972. Orange was popular then! I kept it packed up for years and decided it was time to let someone else enjoy the dress. (Not sure if that is the correct term- ENJOY- really?) I have the memory and someone else has the dress.
