Clutter Awareness Week

Did you know that this week is Clutter Awareness Week?

What is clutter? Clutter is anything that does not have a home.
* The unopened mail sitting on the counter.
* The extra toiletries taking up space in the bathroom.
* The toys scattered around the living room.

To start the process of decluttering, begin with a small area. Pick one area drawer, shelf or cupboard, and begin decluttering. Try to touch things only once while going through this process — quickly make a decision to keep or toss! Once you find a home for items remember to put them in that spot after they are used or acted upon. The home for an item may be recycling such as the mail,  under the sink or in a closet with similar items for toiletries, or in a basket or other container in the living room for the toys.
