School's Out for Summer!

An organizing tip for the end of the school year:

Sit down with your child and go through the mountains of paper and projects which have accumulated through the year. Select their favorites so they fit in a large manila folder or envelope. Take pictures of items if they are too large to keep. It is a fun project at the end of each year as you can see the child's progress from the beginning of the year.  Place file in a box and add to the box at the end of each year.

Here is an idea from one very organized parent: Get a nice bound note book and each year have the child's teacher write something about the child. This was then given to the child at high school graduation. What a wonderful gift. I wish I would have thought of that!
