Hazardous Waste, Electronics and Other Recyling

Does your community have a way to safely dispose of hazardous waste, electronic equipment, and outdated/unused drugs? The spring of the year is often the time when communities have a "Clean Sweep" to assist the residents in ridding their homes of these items. Contact local officials to see if your area participates. There may be a nominal fee for this service.

• Washington County, Wisconsin residents can utilize the "Clean Sweep" on Saturday, May 11. www.co.washington.wi.us/cleansweep for information on what can and can't be recycled.
• Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, WI is having their FREE Community Electronics Recycling Event on Friday,  May 10, 2-5pm & Saturday, May 11, 7am-2pm.   http://www.kmlhs.org/news-a-events/annual-events/electronics-recycling for information on which ELECTRONICS can and can't be recycled.
